Yang Xia - Dulcimer Teacher

Xia Yang is a Yangqin player of the National Orchestra of China Opera and Dance Theater and a member of the World Yangqin Association.

Master of Yangqin Art from the Chinese Music Department of the Chinese Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of Professor Li Lingling, and the chairman and vice chairman of the World Yangqin Association, she has studied Hungarian dulcimer, Iranian dulcimer, Swiss dulcimer, British dulcimer and Karon.

She has performed in Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Norway, Hungary, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Singapore, Spain, Andorra, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and other places.

Won the Non-traditional Combination Excellence Award of the CCTV National Instrumental Music Competition, the Wenhua Cup Yangqin Excellence Award, the Gold Award of the 3rd International Chinese Musical Instrument Competition, and the Silver Award of the Professional Group of the Huayin Cup National Instrumental Music International Competition.
